We suggest you check the mating surface of the housing to the field case for round.  Our past experience has shown that not all aluminum housing are acceptable, due to distortion.

1    Using the chart in the operation manual:
      Select the mounting plate that fits the housing you will be boring
      Select the reamer, guide block
      Select the reamer
2    Mount the plate and reamer guide block
3    Insert the reamer into the reamer guide block and tighten on drill chuck
4    Mount the housing in the tooling plate and lock it in place with the locking arm, making sure it is seated in the mounting plate
5    Ream housing

•    The boring fixture is designed to be a bench mounted and powered by a hand drill
•    It is capable of being used in a drill press as long as the recommended RPM is used.
•    Recommended speed:    1/2 variable speed hand drill or drill press, Aluminum:  100 to 120 RPM, Cast Iron:  75 to 100 RPM
Note:  Higher RPM will decrease reamer life and produce a poor finish on the reamed hole

•    We suggest counter sinking the newly bored hole prior to installing the oversize bushing.
•    You have many choices in bushings.  The sizes differ per manufacturer.  Take this into consideration when selecting the bushings you will be using.
•    The armature shaft should always be measured to insure the correct selection of oversize bushings to be used.
•    In some cases the bushing length may have to be shortened
