WHY SPOT WELD AND SILVER SOLDER WHEN YOU COULD JUST SOLDER?
BECAUSE the temperature of most solders used in most rebuilding shops is about 360 degrees Fahrenheit where the temperature of silver solder is about 1190 degrees Fahrenheit. This means silver soldering will provide a weld joint that will hold up to 1300 degrees Fahrenheit; where solder is only good to about 361 degrees Fahrenheit
Notes:
- The timer provides heat for the exact time (0-5 seconds) needed to make the silver solder flow properly, making the best weld joint and protecting the welder from accidental burn up
- Supplied with standard tips and 6"tongs
- Air cooled
- Quick and easy adjustment for material thickness
